listening to this song, it makes me feel that the whole of the kanto series was just set up to be one big nostalgia trip for our generation. the problem is that in this case you really can't go back, since all the episodes now sound patronizing and childish. it's so sad when a beloved memory doesn't age well. oh well, at least this one beloved childhood memory hasn't been beat to death with endless spin-offs and reboots
